Resident Instructor, Heart of Gold Stables |

Andrea Davey is a 2006 Centenary College Alumni. She earned her B.S.in Equine Studies with a double concentration in Equine Business Management and Instruction and Training. While studying, she competed on the Intercollegiate riding team focusing on the Hunter/Jumper discipline.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Andrea’s love for horses began at the age of 7. Because of the phenomenal experience with her own trainer over the years, it became clear to Andrea at a young age that becoming an instructor was her true calling.
It has been part of Andrea’s training method to incorporate the importance of educating her students regarding proper horsemanship, the crucial aspect of teaching and understanding flatwork, and the value of keeping both horse and rider thinking on their feet. Her students have shown passion for these magnificent animals, the classic sport of riding, and have gracefully demonstrated the knowledge she has passed on to them both at home and at shows.
